What BriefDesk does (and doesn't do)
A quick orientation before you set up your first semester.
BriefDesk keeps every course, class meeting, reading, case, and piece of coursework connected to the moment it actually matters — so when you open a class, you see exactly what to prepare, and when you finish, you can mark it done and move on.
It's an organizer, not a substitute for the work. BriefDesk won't brief a case for you, answer a legal question, or write your outline. What it does is remove the busywork around that work: tracking dates, linking materials, and keeping your notes with the class they belong to.
What you'll need
A syllabus for each course (PDF, image, or text file) if you want BriefDesk to build your semester automatically. If you'd rather set things up by hand, that works too — nothing requires the AI import.
Google Drive and Calendar are optional. BriefDesk works fully without them: you can upload files privately or link documents from any other service.
